Injection molds requirements for mould plate parts

There are many part types of mould plates. Besides, different types of mould plates have different requirements for shape, size, precision and material. According to the main function of parts in mould plates, without considering the shape and size, it can be summarized into the following two aspects.

1. Material quality
There are different application of mould plates in injection molds. Based on it and the precision and use requirements of injection molds, there are also different types and quality requirements for the manufacturing materials of mould plates. Mostly, the mould plates for injection molds are made of medium carbon structural steel.

2. Manufacturing precision
Although the sizes and shapes of mould plate parts are different, each plate is composed of planes and hole systems. When working, several mould plates are in a closing and opening active state. Therefore, the precision requirements for mould plates are mainly in the following aspects.
(1) Parallelism and verticality of the upper and lower plates.
(2) Surface roughness and precision grade of the mould plates.

(3) Requirements for the precision, verticality and hole spacing of each hole on the mould plates.
