Double-Shot Molding Process

The mold is a tool for producing plastic parts. It is generally composed of several groups of parts, and there is a mold cavity in this combination. During injection molding, at first, the double-shot mold is clamped on the injection molding machine. Secondly, the molten plastic is injected into the molding cavity, and plastic parts are molded by cooling in the cavity. Thirdly, the upper and lower molds are separated, and the products are demoulded from the mold cavity by the ejection system. At last, the mold is closed again for the next injection molding. It is the entire and cyclic injection molding process.
In the injection molding production process, it needs to use something, such as plastic raw materials, color powder, gate materials, molds, injection molding machines, peripheral equipment, fixtures, sprays, various auxiliary materials and packaging materials. In addition, due to the high variability of double-shot molding, in order to achieve smooth production and meet the expected ideals, all mold designs must be considered simultaneously with product design.
